I’m running for the Jefferson County School Board because I see what’s happening inside our classrooms and I’m not willing to pretend it’s okay.
Our teachers are working hard. Our students have potential. But too often, learning is being pushed aside by distraction, disruption, and a lack of consistent expectations.
Students shouldn’t be competing with cell phones for attention.
Teachers shouldn’t have to tolerate constant profanity or harmful language just to get through a lesson.
And no student should fall so far behind that failure becomes normal.
This isn’t about being harsh, it’s about being clear.
Clear expectations.
Clear consequences.
And real support for the people doing the work every day in our schools.
As a board member, I will push for district-wide policies that:
Get cell phones out of the classroom during instruction
Back teachers with consistent discipline across every school
Ensure consequences actually change behavior
And restore accountability so students understand that effort matters
Because when classrooms are focused and respectful, everything improves learning, safety, and opportunity.
We don’t need more excuses.
We need leadership that’s willing to say: enough is enough and fix it.
That’s why I’m asking for your vote.
