Are we truly preparing our students for life – or just moving them along?

Kids running to school

Some talk about education from the outside.
I live it every day in the classroom.

As a special education teacher, I work one-on-one with students who are struggling with reading and math. I don’t see data points – I see real kids trying to catch up, and I know exactly where the system is falling short.
That experience matters. It means I know the difference between programs that sound good and strategies that actually help students learn. It means I understand how constant paperwork pulls
teachers away from teaching. And it means I won’t ignore the hard truth when a student is being passed along without the skills they need.

Here’s what I’ll fight for:
 Real early intervention that tracks progress week by week
 Proven, back-to-basics instruction that builds strong readers and thinkers
 Support for teachers so they can focus on students – not red tape
 Honest standards so a diploma truly means something

This isn’t about politics. It’s about being real with our community and doing what works for our kids.
Compassion matters – but results matter too.
Vote May 12 in the primary.
